The BC7211 supports the decoding of the widely used NEC infrared protocol. (Supported encoder chips include: uPD6122, TC9012, PT2210, PT2222, SC6121, SC9012, and others). For example , the majority of remote controls on the market for set-top boxes and AV devices, utilize the NEC encoding format.
The BC7211 features a serial output interface compatible with both SPI and UART protocols, allowing for easy interfacing with various Microcontrollers (MCUs) and PCs.
