BC7210A IR Remote Decoder
The BC7210A supports the decoding of the widely used Philips RC5 and NEC infrared protocols. (Supported encoder chips include: SAA3010, KS51900, uPD6122, TC9012, KS5410, MN6010, LC7426, PT2210, PT2222, SC6121, SC9012, and others). For example , the majority of remote controls on the market for set-top boxes and AV devices, utilize the NEC encoding format.
The BC7210A features a serial output interface compatible with both SPI and UART protocols, allowing for easy interfacing with various Microcontrollers (MCUs) and PCs.

BC7211 IR Remote Decoder (NEC Protocol)
The interface and data format are compatible with the BC7210A (pinout is incompatible), but it supports only the most common NEC encoding format. For applications where only NEC decoding is required, this chip serves as a low-cost alternative to the BC7210A.
